Customer Portal App / Site Concept

A vehicle manufacturer sought to modernize and focus their customer outreach by creating an owner app and web experience. The app sought to connect customers with one another and add opportunities for brand and customer interaction:

My role in the project was not only design the app according to brand standards, but conceptualize the owner program and app features, which included:

  • Build on an “Every Day Adventure” concept where both offroad drivers and families could enjoy tracking miles and points to their account
  • Gamify and create a points system for rewards, discounts, and perks
  • Create custom trips or follow premade trails to earn badges
  • Allow users to customize their vehicles, add aftermarket options, and visualize their vehicles in various builds
  • Give off-road enthusiasts useful tools such as weather tracking, nearby account users on a map, and custom maps for trips
  • Connect users with one another by uploading photos, interacting with trip achievements and comments on trails

In addition to a user app, the client needed a customer-facing e-commerce site to introduce users to the product and direct them through the sales process. The design created emphasized strong, dynamic imagery while highlighting the strength of the brand.
